The Double-Faced Journey

This one life meets a stone in his travels
And sees the dreaded stumbling block
That dashes his hopes and halts the journey
Another life comes across the same stone
And smiles, seeing a blessed stepping stone
That will give him a footing on the murky trail
And he thanks fortune for the valuable provision

The Double Edged Future

The optimist stretches his eyes and sees the invisible future
And says, "It is bright, promising and so beautiful a future!"
His heart is eagerly looking forward to its approach
That it may speedily reach the present moment and find him
