Stick With Your Conscience

Think twice before you choose
To fight your own conscience
Before you run away from courage
Choosing the way of treachery

Can your legs, by running far and wide
Across the world, save your peace
From your conscience that has a seat
Of judgement inside the heart?

Can you hide from conscience
Whose eyes can see through
A concrete wall as if through
A clear transparent glass?

Can you cheat your conscience
By planning evasive tricks
Knowing that it can read everyone
Of your thoughts inside out?

Can you bribe your conscience
With money and wealth
When its desire is only justice
And is absolutely incorruptible?

Can you wiggle out of the jaws
Of the inevitable conscience
That can only be appeased
By doing what is right?
