Criminals
try to run to the distant places
Fugitives
try to hide among multitudes
Law
breakers try to change their looks
Thugs
try to put trust in their knives
All
to try to beat the long arm of the law
Their
days are spent looking over their backs
Their
years are restless running stomachs
Their
times are marked by a war within
Their
hearts are total strangers to peace
For
the long arm of the law is inevitable
It
reaches, it probes, it breaks their hearts
It
waits and lurks patiently for decades
It
pursues them like their own shadows
It
confines them to the deathly dark corners
That
is when the long arm of the law is long
