Don't Be a Murderer

Before you unleash that blade
And spill that sacred blood
Before you flex that finger
And then pull that trigger
Before you set that bomb
To send many to the tomb
Can you fellow create that life
Other than bring more strife?
Can you fill the void so left
Unique matchless that cleft?

Before you let that grudge explode
Evoking a sensation so cold
Before you bow in to that rage
That turns you like a page
Before you cave in to that ire
And set your heart on fire
Can you heal a heart slain
Out of that act so vain?
Can you soothe deep sorrows
That do pierce like arrows?
